Well considering WW3 may be upon us, a safe bet would be investing in a large shelf full of food and gold in a bolted down safe. But beware that the food needs to be rotated regularly every few months to weed out the expired stuff.
I've already got my investment made in entertainment and education in the form of a file server that is EMP proof, check out my recent post in the computer thread in regards to the Corsair Vengeance C70. I intend on putting a mirror of wikipedia and the gutenberg project onto it aswell as a copy of all of my dvd's/blurays.
