Lets return to Flat Earth and relate it to Medicine.

The Earth is a very interesting system of nearly impossible conflicting requirements. Some say in a near infinite universe a planet like this could be found. It's nearly impossibe what we have and would be impossible if flat. Basically we are living at the edge of a nuclear reactor, albeit the nicer fussion type. Earths very large FeNi core produces enough magnetic interaction to deflect the majority of bad stuff seen as the Aurora.

At the chemical level all is more facinating and mostly repeatable anywhere in the universe, I say mostly when I could say will be. I have always taken it as fact that snow flakes vary whilst always to a similar recipe. The reason is the dust that starts the crystal is always different. Nearly all things we meet are like this with the start being the interesting thing. Mostly despite all the knowledge in the word the start event it not known. That's like switching on the TV to watch a film that started an hour ago. We can infer plenty, we don't really know. If a film we regret it, when how we make our money we say we do know most of the story. People ask me how true history is. I say I wasn't there. What I can say is does the logic hold up in the history I read. Often it does.

As I said before, my son studied medical chemistry. He has liver problems of storing fat in an unusual way ( I'm told all reasonable test have been done ). I will make a recomendation. Citrate de Betaine. It's cheap and as best I know harmless. I knew someone who took it who was suggested to be an alcoholic ( by most, he takes that as he thinks it destoyes the alcohol was said with distain ). Many said it and never said it to his face. I asked and was told it was to reduce fat in the liver, I wasn't in his best books by being so honest when asking. I will never know if it was either or both reasons. Seeing as the doctor, my son and one of the worlds best teaching hospitals have failed it's my turn. Everyone says I talk too much. I do listen also and ask.

A Pharmacist told me he has more work to do than the doctor. He corrects mistakes of dose or conflict of medicines which to him were frequent. Then he said there are about 13 really deadly illnesses. All are so obvious either the doctor or he should notice them. The rest is letting nature take it's coarse or send to a specialist. If you like not much more than selling tickets for a train. He felt he was more likely to be in trouble if anyone died. Mr Teal was his name. He was the type of man who if not here will never be noted in history.

Phosphoric acid is very effective for depression. Too easy that one. It helps the brain make electrical connections, great during wartime with long hours of work. I wish the famous brand name didn't use Aspartame. See the latters origines, you will be shocked if honestly told, see also farm chemicals. Look up Aspirin and Heroine whilst interested. No negativity on my part except to say the Romans didn't use the Willow tree for pain relief. Many drugs we now know were explosives or whatever in their early lives. Many are still the better treatments.

Flat Earth and medicine? People use the ignorance of the masses to sell false doctrines and cures. Please do your own research. I was told in the 1980's the French visited the doctor 4 times more often than the British with the same health outcomes. The French have been convinced to do this. I suspect we have caught them up as our NHS is in debt.

rise to the ability of Einstein. His brain

After [Harvey’s] wife threatened to dispose of the brain, he returned to retrieve it and took it with him to the Midwest. For a time he worked as a medical supervisor in a biological testing lab in Wichita, Kansas, keeping the brain in a cider box stashed under a beer cooler. He moved again, to Weston, Missouri, and practiced medicine while trying to study the brain in his spare time, only to lose his medical license in 1988 after failing a three-day competency exam. He then relocated to Lawrence, Kansas, took an assembly-line job in a plastic-extrusion factory, moved into a second-floor apartment next to a gas station, and befriended a neighbor, the beat poet William Burroughs. The two men routinely met for drinks on Burroughs’s front porch. Harvey would tell stories about the brain, about cutting off chunks to send to researchers around the world.

Burroughs, in turn,
would boast to visitors that he could have a piece of Einstein,
any time he wanted.

NHS debt runs at £230,000,000 - £500,000,000 a year loss due to health tourism because the tourists 'State/s' dont pay their bill/s.
This info came from my god-daughters uncle who works in the £500,000+ a year bonus bracket of the Nuffield Trust. His 'job' is making sure the 'system up-grade' never gets completed / works nor up to date.

Flat Earth is too complex. If one takes that complexity down to a spherical concept it still is very complex. The questions that come from that are interesting and even seem like magic at times. The magnetic field of the Earth comes to mind.

When AI comes of age these questions will be easy and I think interesting to observe. I have tried to prove to some friends we most likely did go to the Moon. Quite hard to do that. They should have been killed being true.

As you say it's not worth getting too wound up about it. The game I like to play is how quickly can I pick holes in these ideas. The Philidelphia experiment took five minutes. Why did the ship turn up in another harbour? Why not in the centre of a mountain? The crew blacked out I might just believe. It was a secret experiment into high power magnetic energy it is said. Very interesting and perhaps has some truth in it.

I don’t know why people get so obsessed over things that don’t matter.

I don’t believe any of the flat earth nonsense, but I don’t care who does. It isn’t my field, I’m not a scientist, why should I care.

Because were headed back into the dark ages where surperstition and belief in nonsense is becoming wide spread and reason and the scientific process are only for academics. Even on a technical website like this there are more people that believe in magic ( stones, goop, marking pens, cable lifters, cable direction etc etc ) than science. And momentum grows with snake oil salesmen that use psuedo science to sell to ignorants who want to believe, instead of looking for the truth. This wonderfull tool, instant information, has backfired. Instead of educating the masses it has given voice to every quack and conman on our round earth and most people would rather find an opinion that matches theres than the truth. Even if your the one in a million that believes in dragons you'll find thousands of others that believe and support you.

I was told years ago that computers would out class us one day due to their ability to consider everything and only say no way if it really is no way. Thinking about it, that is only true if the computer can find the imformation. For a long time it will have to research all the rubbish we think is true. E=Mc^2 is one. It is a special case. One hopes the computer ralises that quickly and talks about the other applications when down the pub. My friend John says c^2 is almost 10^17 which is a big number.

From this I learnt that we have truth, lies and faith. Faith is the thing that finds truth, a hunch. Strictly speaking Bearing False Witness describes faith. I perfer to have faith in what I hear is good even if I don't know exactly why. Also if it sounds bad it is bad. I doubt anyone would say without proof you have no right to like it. Some almost do!

Hi Nigel.
"Thinking about it, that is only true if the computer can find the information."...You mean all the information.
In China with it's developing networked AI facial recognition and tracking, recently a Chinese celebrity billboard photo garnered the subject an automatically generated jaywalking fine/violation.....which counts toward the individuals future 'social score'...............

Yes , Mr Tesla mentioned this special case 'cloaked in mathematics'.
How many data bits are saved on all the server farms in the world so far, and what is the future ?.

From this I learnt that we have truth, lies and faith. Faith is the thing that finds truth, a hunch. Strictly speaking Bearing False Witness describes faith. I prefer to have faith in what I hear is good even if I don't know exactly why. Also if it sounds bad it is bad. I doubt anyone would say without proof you have no right to like it. Some almost do!
I asked of a dowsing/physical psychic "What do you believe in ?", the answer was "I believe not to believe in any fixed belief system"....I thought about this for a very long time, this is now my mantra in a sense.
I have taken a lifetime to begin to understand and believe my ears, I now trust what I hear and more importantly experience.
Reading between the lines, Mr Tesla said some important things that have been kept silent but have since been used and abused and in plain sight.
There are very definite reasons that an audio system can sound 'right' or 'wrong' and HD and THD are not the devils, excess noise spectrum and consequent excess noise dynamic nature is the devil...or the angel.
There is interesting remedy/technique that in an instant can render any system energising, neutral or poisonous.....take your pick, it's perfectly easy when the rules are revealed.

Hi Dan, My Grandfather was a dowser and thatcher. He was always in demand for those skills. Farmers don't pay for anything that doesn't work.

This question of faith is a very strange one. Science seems to be a way of playing chess with peoples minds. The burden of proof as it is said. Judged by your Peers. Pasteur was always fighting this. As far as I know all he claimed was true. He had a vast number of professionals against him who said he was wrong. Using the same type of logic as we seen now they insisted on doing things that killed people. The things they should do so simple it was pure murder they didn't. The thing to note is in terms of what we knew in 1951 and them in 1851, they knew very little and assumed the opposite. However Faraday and others were doing correct science before that which proves minds were alive to where " faith " took them. Faith in seeing magnetism and electricity were linked. Even today we don't really know much more than him on that. Gravity even less so. 1851 is when the Bordeaux wine producers did listen to Pasteur.

There are those who are credible who advocate changes due to cable lifters, cable direction etc.....and goop.
Not all of this opinion is due to false placebo/expectation bias, the reason is/will be measurable using the correct criterion/instrumentation

BTW. The placebo's can be very cheap and sometimes work. I had to extend a 79 strand cable with 1 mm solid core from an electrician for a church installation using Bose 901. There was a difference in sound which suggested a better solid core might be ideal. I speculate 0.6mm. The difference was clearly it filtered something, the what was sibilance ( could be due to RF even ) . It wasn't subtle and could be checked as one channel was in 79 strand still. It's one of two times I have liked 901's, mostly I didn't. The nasty EQ unit was used. I always use solid core now as it is cheap and to me it works. My friends say what cable do I use " Yaksahumi " I always say. Better friends say " he means bell wire ". I sometimes use fancy cable if bass only. Some off cuts of Nordost mains wire very often.

I'm hearing you, been there done that.....what are the insulations on the 79 strand, and what are the insulations on the solid core ?.
