During WWII, there was a bridge connecting Germany and Switzerland, and on the German side, there was a sentry tower with a guard in it. He would come out every three minutes to check on the bridge, and he had orders to turn back anyone who tried to get into Germany, and shoot anyone trying to escape without a pass. There was a woman who desperately needed to get into Switzerland, and she knew she didn't have time to get a pass. It would take her at least six minutes to cross the bridge, but she managed to do it. How?

What did she look like?

She was a changeling…

She always reflected the image of your heart’s desire and could become any of these instantly:

she waits till the gaurd goes back in, then heads to Switzerland, before the Gaurd comes back out again she turns around and heads for Germany, The gaurd comes out and sends her back to Switzerland

Wouldn't work. She'd be only two minutes across from Germany, but four minutes away from Switzerland, so even if she turned around, the guard would see she was too far across, and he would have seen her on his previous check. The volley of shots rings out, and her lifeless corpse falls into the river...

Oops, misread the question...:D

hmmm I may have been a bit too simplistic, she would in fact have to time it pretty well, but if she went to exactly half way she should be ok.
