Before shipping I figured it works out to about $13/ length at the opening bid price. Assuming that there are no damaged pieces.

Not too shabby, but are the bars usable or configurable in the supplied dimensions?

Cutting one in half and bolting the two pieces together would yield a heat sink about 14x16x2” weighing (using 1766/108 from the listing) about 16 lbs.

Or if you just need two, you could wander over to the trading post and get the two cosmetically perfect ones that P-Daniels just listed.

Yeh but Peter's are $50 for 11x11 as opposed to $13 for 14x16. But they are nice anodized etc.

When I saw this, my 1st thought was that a ton of aluminum heat sink could keep Peter busy for almost a week.

The fins on the ones he is selling can also be easier vertically oriented.

My second thought was that Steve Apox lives not too far from Sandiego, and he's kind of in the business.

Mine come to $4.50/lb. Considering finish and size they are still a good deal. Seeing this thread I figured out I still had some heatsinks, I probably won't be using, so why not sell them?
