Steve, you might want to check out the book "You'll Never Eat Lunch in This Town Again" by Julia Phillips. She was a producer on The Sting, as well as Taxi Driver and Close Encounters. What an amazing amount of drugs they did in the 70s, (plenty of booze, too). A lesson in how to show up and win an Oscar completely blasted out of your mind.
Kind of a chick book, but a fun read about Hollywood behind the scenes. Caused a big scandal when it came out.

Very disturbing ending, a movie i refused to see more than once.
But an excellent description of Spain under Franco, and the three internal forces that enabled it ; Religion, Machismo, Militarism.
(Disneys and hard core porn are more tranquille, imo, so Asian Nurses 5 should still be in "pole position")

Definitely a NO here! To prevent this, Germany would reactivate retired ape-man Oliver Kahn - just to scare everyone away. Look at him, I'm sure even his mother is scared of him. Ghana would send Gyan - it's more likely that he would eat Suarez for some unknown reasons

What was wrong with the original? Bad enough that they remade "Day the Earth Stood Still," why compound the crime?
Remakes are a pet peeve of mine- it's generally the fallback when the creativity bank is overdrawn. Not counting redone silent films in the early talkie era, I can count the number of worthwhile remakes on the mangled fingers of one hand. Let's see, Alastair Sim version of "Christmas Carol," and then... uhhh... ummmm...

Though I like the original version of "Logan's Run" very much, I am looking forward for the remake. If someone would ask me for a script, I would conceive the first part of the movie (Arcade) as a blend of Stanislaw Lem's novel "Transfer" and a Pasolini movie. Second part (Wilderness) would be something between "The Quiet Earth" and "Life after people"-documentary.

And please, don't quote besides the above movies e.g. the "Forrest Gump" and the symbolism of the "white feather". To my taste, this movie is tiring and is characterized from outbidding. For example, i can watch the "A Map of the World" and "Changing Lanes" one time per month. Instead, i watched only one time the "Forrest Gump".
