I will be attaching a chip to a copper heat spreader using a Keratherm insulator, so no problem there.
The copper spreader which is 7"L x 2"H x 1/4"D, will then be attached to a aluminum block heat sink 8"L x 6"H x 3/8" D.
My question is, "Which would be more effective a layer of Thermal paste or a layer of Keratherm material between the copper spreader and the aluminum block".
The aluminum block is actually one of the sides of the chassis.
2nd question: How expensive is a 7" x 2" piece of Keratherm.
Thanks for the help,
Myles
