Can I reuse kertherm pads?

I have to send back for repair two amp boards that are using kertherm I got from the store. Can I reuse the pads at the same positions when the boards get back (I'll leave the pads attached to the heatsinks in the same position if I can). Or do I have to buy two new sets of pads...
