heya, got a stark 9-66 tester for sale.. the glass over meter is cracked and case seen better days but the unit functions flawlessly. i just dont use it enough to justify keeping one.
refernce chart included for testing various tube types, various documentation etc.. $250 ![]() ![]() also have some ciare CH250+M 4ohm drivers for sale in some baffles i threw together. high efficiency, rare 4 ohm models, great defined mid-highs. only selling because i upgraded to some supravox bicones and even still i was torn about letting go these ciares. ![]() $150 located at 401 and mavis road. email kamtow@hotmail.com for arrangements. |

Hey smak,
Cool! You finally found a good tester. Meter glass can be replaced, so if anyone needs a good tester, this would be it. I use the same model and have for many years. I guess you are getting out of tubes. I am not selling mine! -Chris

yeah its great.. not getting out of tubes the stark is just way too much tester for me. someone else could get alot more use out of it than me testing and matching the odd quad of el84's once every few years.

Hi smak,
If you only tested an average of 2 tubes a year, wouldn't you want the results of the tests to be worth something? -Chris

Chris,
I hope that you do not mind my jumping into this exchange. I do not have any info to add but beleive that you are the same individual that has serviced my LV105. I have read a few of your posting and you have mentioned Micron Electroniccs. Is this that same Chris? Again I hope that you do not mind, I have been looking for help with my Luxman gear. Dave.

Hi Dave,
Sorry for the late reply. I've not been around for a bit. Yes, I am that guy. Micron was my shop a long time ago. No problem helping you out. Use the mail button to PM me. If you can't, I can email you. Just let me know. -Chris

still for sale ;P though i think i'm going to keep the caires they really are great drivers. i installed a second magnet and these suckers continue to astound me in my secondary system.
and anatech, thats too much tester in the context of size. its massive. if i had a mansion like yours i'd gladly keep it around and knock the dust off every 6-7 years i burn up my tubes and need it to replace with matched tubes.. Last edited by smak; 23rd March 2011 at 06:41 PM. |
