Max29: I don't have any spares ... Analog Devices does have a samples program ... and most of their distributors have stock on hand = usually less than US$5 or so ... plus shipping. I order them 2 to 6 at a time, so I pay about $30 for six.

Pay for them ?? Yes I do, especially for first run or beta or prototypes. I have gotten onto several "free be" lists including TI, Analog, Motorola, Fairchild, Intel, AMD, et al, and of course National. But after a while you realize that they don't have any respect for your tech support inquiries if you don't pay the freight.
I also pay for caps, resistors, chassis, racks, etc. ...
