My new prized today only to find that the trafo came loose in transit and smashed into the PSU caps! So, i am now on the hunt for caps to fit what i have.
The caps must be 2" in diameter and 4" long They need to be at least 20,000uf and at least 70VDC Will pay a fair price for a set of four. I also have many pairs of large 10Kuf+++ 70-100+VDC caps for trade. Also at least 6-8 18,000uf 80V Snap in types 35mm x 55mm CDE brand. these are new. Zc |

Actually, your website was the first place i looked! I even checked ebay, but no luck. so i was hoping another DIY'er could help me with some. I saw those Hitachi's! Problem is i cant make them fit. the 4 caps in this amp fit very tight and screw to a PCB board and there isnt enough room to fit a 2-1/2" cap. so i am stuck. i have to find some that are 2" x 4" or they wont fit. Thank you for responding, great price on those and you have some larger as well for a good price! Zc |

You can try looking here: http://www.tedss.com/specSearch.asp?cat=Capacitors
Good luck finding >20,000uF with a >70V rating in a 2" diameter x 4" can though... Most everything I've seen is at least 2.5" diameter and longer than 4".

Ohh that place is expensive! I did find some both Newark and Digi-Key have some listed at $40.00 each. I was hoping to find some used however.
