Design features Analog Devices AD847 output buffers and AD844 I/V converters (all in DIP sockets for easy replacement or upgrade), dual Burr Brown PCM 1702 20 bit DACs (one per channel), Crystal CS8412 reclock IC, PMD100 HDCD chip, gold plated RCA outputs, coax and Toslink optical outputs, Potted toroid power transformer, and an IEC AC imput filter. This is still one of the best values in DACs, and this unit was a Stereophile Recommended component at its release. Includes original box, manual and IEC power cord. Also available: four hard to find OPA627 high speed opamps ($75 additional), which can be used to replace the existing AD opamps for improved sound (a Parts Connection recommended mod).
