Pair of Vifa built 1" silk dome tweeters, with custom painted cast metal front plate. Canadian designed tweeters are made by Vifa for the Kinima series speakers from Zetag Corp. These have an "fo" of 1400 Hz, they are hollow pole piece devices using a 1/4" wool silk felt pole piece damping ring, this cancels any rear wave signal that might bounce off the pole piece. They have a rear chamber which is filled with rayon, which acts like a transmission line to cancel the rear wave totally. The voice coil is magnetic fluid damped. They use an extremely fast and accurate ultra open weave doped pure silk dome of 1" diameter. This tweeter has extraordinarily broad dispersion compared to other tweeters, frequency response still maintaining excellent dispersion is out to 22 kHz. Very low distortion device, capable of considerable output. They have been measured and matched to be within 1db of each other and the terminals are already tinned with silver solder. Similar to Seas and Scan Speak, tweeters in performance at a fraction of the price. I originally bought these for a Home Theatre DIY project that I'm no longer going to complete.
