15" Acoustic Elegance (aka Stryke) AV15 mk2

This driver is completely in as new condition. It has never been installed in cabinet and only tested very briefly to ensure it was in working order on arrival from MC Audio, so this hasn't been run in at all.
Nearly 2"(46mm) peak-to-peak excursion with a 15" radiating area means lots of displacement for deep bass.
The sub has been stored in its original and hefty packing box for complete protection, this will also ensure that it will withstand even a vicious beating from the postman should such a thing happen.
I've never heard it running but from the accounts spread around the net, its an extremely nice sub for the money and I'm offering this perfect example at a fraction of the RRP.
Please note that this is dual 4ohm voice coil driver, so wired in parallel means an 8ohm load and series is 2ohm.

BK Electronics BSBPV 500 Subwoofer Panel Amp
A perfect companion to the AV15 above
Again this is completely as new, never installed in a cabinet but has been tested and works perfectly.
Offers virtually all connectivity options with speaker level, stereo RCA's and XLR balanced inputs. Fully discrete level controls for both high and low level inputs so its perfectly feasible to have two different setups for music and movies. As well as this, the amp comes with fullly variable phase control and a 40-120hz 4th order low pass filter, interestingly this filter can also defeated to allow for full range reproduction (the amp could be used to drive a loudspeaker). Airtight construction means that you don't have to build a seperate chamber within the enclosure, should you wish.
The amp itself uses lateral MOSFET devices typical used in full range amps rather than lesser devices. This ensures that the amp sounds very good indeed, possibly an audiophile subwoofer amp? There's also an EQ section and infrasonic highpass filter which can be set for a 6dB boost at 15hz-30hz, all this can also be bypassed for a flat response. The manual details how to set these options.

Re: What's the plan for the Volts?
I haven't even began to consider that just yet. Its likely that I'll be without subs for quite sometime because I simply have no time these days for DIY. I regrettably had to flog on my collection of projects recently (the AV15 being one of them) for this very reason.
In the end I may just go with a couple of commercial subs to make my life easier. I'll see how it goes but hopefully I don't have to sell the Volt Radials and something good will come of them.

Yep, the important stuff always seems to get put on hold while you we about the daily routines; job, socialising, cost of living etc. It sucks sometimes, its a shame we have to sleep otherwise I could put that time to good use

Thanks for the nod on the sub but have no money for hifi just at the minute. I've bought a whole raft of new room treatments that should lend a more asthetic look rather than the industrial wedges I was using before - and yes, this is yet another project
Its still pretty much a no-no regarding living rooms but it does look fitting in a dedicated room and less aggressive than the sharp look of the wedges or pyramid tiles.
I live in Chesterfield but just 15 minutes up the road in Mansfield is a place called Advanced Acoustics, they also have a funiture foam business arm and they manufacturer all their own stuff so its possible to have custom stuff if you've got the wallet for that type of stuff.
They've got some very basic looking show rooms with their production selection on display and demonstration. The great thing about it is that the demo room has no carpet and hard stone walls, actually its just an empty shell so its very reflective and its entirely down to the room treatments to deal with this and they do it superbly. Because they manufacturer their own product they are much cheaper than the rip off Auralex stuff that I got sucked into the first time around - never again.
