These are black painted, perforated steel grilles. Open area is ~55% and perforation is non-staggered, square. Anything over 50% is virtually acoustically transparent. They have a slight arc to them as seen in the second picture and the edges along the long side it folded over. The cover a ~5 1/4" speaker perfectly and leave room for a tweeter. (Note, in the second image there is a metal tab under the right grille. That is on the passive radiator underneath the grille not part of the grille.) I attached these to my speaker projects with tube stand-offs & screws but you can also use brackets or magnets. These will finish of a DIY speaker project in a very professional manner which is how I used them. They are in perfect cosmetic condition.
