Not right now, sadly!

I'm stuck gathering cash for a run of custom drivers. Ie, things are happening....finally. Decided on a woofer for the first commercial project..and it has to be 'custom' of course, to preserve 'exclusitivity' for MR. John Q. Public.

It's not like the guys areound here would be shocked by that comment. Just the realites of marketing 101.

I wasn't looking at your scanspeaks. No I didn't see them, They're not there, dammit! I don't see them, I don't see them, I don't see them, I don'............

all that being said, you can get a great deal on a set of skannings, if you've never played with a set before!

Might make your day! never know!

bump.

Since I can't edit my prior post..

If you merely need to see, smell, fondle, listen to and FFT and IMP sweep a few skannings for evaluation, I can possibly bring mine by.

Saves you about $2k, to answer that burning question.

Best I've ever heard, which is why I've got them. Per and Enjvid have their heads screwed on straight, when it comes to understanding balance, and human hearing.

For me, one of the real tests of a mid-bass..is how long you can stand listening to them..while running full range. For a skanning..it borders on weeks or more, which is far, far, far longer than any other mid-bass I've ever heard. Resonance, time delay in that resonance, time frame of resonant overhang, shaping and peaking of that resonance...how muffled/smeared is it in an effort of the desigenr to control it? How much of the true essence of the music comes through? for the entire range of the driver? burning questions. The other one is.. are you a real observer of the intelligence of a music signal or are you a fool who thinks that hard transients = musical information? like (seemingly, at times, and especially the 'school of 24db' ) about 90% or more of all loudspeaker designers? all burning questions. So far, the skanning is the one that gets closest to the truth of what should be presented.

I've directly heard loudspeaker driver designers 'diss' skanning. All they show at that point is ther brutal ignorance of what music is all about. I just nod my head, agree..and walk away. No sense trying their stuff out, I reckon. They already answered that question.

So I offer you a listen to them. :) I mean..think about it. We have here, two entire well respected, no three.... companies that are skanning spin-offs. If not more. I rest my case.

Oh yes, I can also bring the Adire extremis drivers. Worth a look and a listen. Some great potential there. (a long 'in person only' story)

it depends... on so many different variables...any skilled loudspeaker designer can make any of those drivers sound "good" in an MTM configuration. The only problem is that "good" is a completely subjective quality...

It's like walking into a car dealership and asking if any of the cars on the lot will perform well if they are driven on the highway... :D
