I have a few eliptical reflectors for sale. They are perfectly suited for our DIY projectors ( for one sided G12 bulbs ). I have tested it with my 10.4" projection panel ( ASK Impact ) and the light output was far better than with any other type of reflector I tested ( including soup ladder, Ikea stuff, spherical reflector from DIA projector etc. ).
I've made some pictures of it yesterday, you can find it here: On some pictures you can see my temporary "reflector holder" made from old ATX power supply case and GE 150W MH lamp. I think this setup ( with 150 W MH ) has much better light output than any combination of 250W MH lamp and spherical reflector I have tested ( and believe me, I did a LOT of tests ).I almost forgot - focal lengths are 11 mm and 105 mm. If anyone is interested, the price of one piece is 35 USD ( or 28 EUR ). |
