LT1088 - Wideband RMS-DC Converter Building Block

http://www.linear.com/pc/productDeta...Id=H0,C3,P1285

It's been obsolete for many years. However, I'm interested in using it in my circuit.

Anyone happen to have one to sell?

To be fair, I'll give preference to the first person desiring to sell one.

what frequency band, and what type of signal are you looking at?

the log-rms converters (AD536) work very well, perhaps not quite as well as the LT1088 or the thermopile in an HP3403C, but good enough to be used in the HP3478 6 digit DVM. (btw, HP3403's can be had for less than $10, if it doesn't work, gut it for the chasis)

for noise measurement (100 milliHertz to 10 Hz) you might be well off considering some of the new ADC's made for this purpose -- power measurement has a new lease on life due to the cost of BTU's, and the desire for efficiency.

these folks specialize in "obsolete" electronics:

they showed 3 pieces in stock.

Wow. Two good leads. Thanks. I'm exploring my options. I just "won" a HP3400A on ebay, but the spec isn't so good DC to 5hz.
