These are the same transformers as the ones recommended by Nelson Pass for the Zen V4 amplifier. I've used these in that application with good results. I've also used them to power the gainclone by Brian GT, one is enough for two channels.
They are in perfect working condition. I have added external shielding and vibration damping materials...not easily removable but the transformers work better with it in place anyway. I noticed some mechanical hum when asked for a lot of juice, therefore the treatment. Theoretically they don't dissipate heat as well now, but I've measured the temps before and after, under load, and the difference was an unsignificant 1oC. Also, both, the primary and secondary leads were cut down to about 3". Cost from Plitron is $68, handy dandy two week+ wait time is also included in their price. $90USD for the pair plus shipping. I can sell them seperatly for $45ea but only if I get two takers, so if you ask for one you'll be put on a wait and see list. Paypal ok.
