I have almost all parts to make a chassis. The chassis is made by Magura from this forum.
The parts I have are the following: * V/L-profiles to assemble the chassis. * ALU plates cut to fit. I have bottom, top, back and front. Though the front was only made to be used until something better was made and could be better looking. An easy solution to this problem could be to make a nice front out of tree. * Heatsinks. Each side consists of 1½ heatsink. Each whole heatsink is rated around 0.25-0.35 K/W. The one I bought the heatsinks from had tested them to 0.23 K/W. * I could also supply some copper bars that can be used to transfer the heat better to the heatsinks, but they are quite heavy and expensive, though worth it. Also they are about 10mm to long so they need to be cut to fit. Size of the chassis: Internal: W ~ 275mm D ~ 318mm H ~ 250mm External: W ~ 360mm D ~ 320mm H ~ 252mm What needs to be done: * Drill holes * Buy screws * make a finish for the ALU plates(paint etc.) * Perhaps a nicer front. Please make me a offer. The buyer pays shipping. Martin |

Hi Seve
please confirm the heatsinks size and number. Two whole heatsinks and 2 half heatsinks? is this right? What size are they? regards Andrew T. |

Hi AndrewT
Yes it's correct the chassis is made out of 2 whole heatsinks and 2 half heatsinks. Each side of the the chassis consists of 1 whole and 1 half heatsink. That's one of the reasons why a good copper bar to spread the heat is a good idea, but also in general a copper bar just helps spread the heat. The fins are the "curved" ones to get better airflow. The measures underneath is taken like the heatsinks are used in the chassis. The whole heatsink measures: H:~252mm D:~218mm W:~42mm The half heatsink measures: H:~252mm D:~102mm W:~42mm The copper bar measures: 300*50*10mm It's about 10mm to long, because of the v-profiles.
