Elso,

Would these be a good choice for use at the output of Doede's dddac1543. (or am I mixing up values here?)

Hi Jan,
Doede specifies 470nF being exactly the same as 0.47µF.
So that would be perfectly OK.

Glad I didn't mix that up.
Anyway, do you think it would be a nice choice soundwise?

Yes, they almost as good as the much more expensive Audionote paper in oil copper foil caps.

Hi,

these Epcos MKV are (moretheless) the same as the NOS Siemens MKV, which is as Elso told a kind of MKP in oil. Similar ones are available new but pricey.

The Mundorf MCap Supreme Silver/Oil are similar in construction (apart from the silver, of course).

As a coupling cap these MKV caps are told to be really, really good.

Cheers
Christian.

Thanks Christian,

I'm really happy with these Epcos. Good to hear they are quality components. Luckily Elso lives only 60 km away so I was able to pick them up real fast. Always nice to visit another diy-er and admire his work.

I actually prefer them to AN copper foil caps.
