FS: YAFWPSU (Yet-Another-FirstWatt-PSU)

This board implements a PSU similar to the F6 Turbo PSU, which uses four dual-diodes and also supports a more traditional two bridge setup using IXYS ECO-PAC format high current bridges. 25.4mm diameter capacitors are supported - a plated slot (not rendered correctly below, but properly processed by the fab nonetheless) is used to support both 10mm LS snap-in and 12.5mm radial leads (Nichicon “Audio” Capacitors). The basic circuit is a CRC, with 44mF Capacitance + 5* 3W R + 44mF Capacitance per channel, with optional output Zobel. Snubbers are also available as (C || R+C) on the primaries. Also, thermistors used in the usual First Watt manner, plus the safety bridge found in the F5T PSU, a single MOV and resettable fuses, and a thermal switch - all of which are optional.

I have a few of these PCBs left-over that I'd like to offer up to the community. The price is $20/board plus shipping. I'd expect shipping to run between $5 (US) and $15 (international) - but the amount will be paid after they ship for exact charges (so, two PayPal payments).

The boards are 2-layer, 2mm thick, 3 oz. copper, blue with white silkscreen, ENIG plated. The extra thickness and copper adds significantly to the cost, but I think that $20 is still pretty reasonable, given these specs. I'm including a BOM and supporting files in this post.

I'll post a picture of a completed board when I'm able.

Bryan, sent your board. Next victim? I hope there is reasonable demand, I otherwise will have a lifetime supply of First Watt amplifiers 🙂

I can also supply one of the ECO-PAK devices (tested for fit, not soldered), heatsinks and Nichicon capacitors, if anyone interested. Probably a few odds and ends too, gratis.

Looks like there is one error in the BoM. Please see the following comment from a builder:

"Got the .PS. up and running. I wanted to let you know that the BOM 2x2 plug housing part number is for the LOK N MATE and not the LOK N MATE2. I didn't look every part number over for compatibility, just order off the BOM. The part number should be 571-794188-1. I really like these connectors. I will post some pictures when I finish my M2 build."

I will ask a mod to update the first post here in a week when I return home.

Here's a couple shots of the PSU in action, showing 60Hz and multiple harmonics. One is a F4 and the other J2. Supplies are both standard RCR using the boards.
