This build is top of the line. Every component in it was chosen for the best possible performance. The Sonore USB board was chosen for the optional OSF that can be engaged. When it's turned on, input will be up sampled to 352/384 using proprietary digital filters. At these sample rates, the Soren R-2R DAC runs in NOS mode (with one FIR2). The hardware OSF is a sophisticated minimum phase filter that greatly reduces pre-ringing while still providing excellent stop band rejection.
What this means is, you can choose to ignore filter 'rolling', enabling the onboard OSF. Or, disable it and enjoy the growing library of filters.

Here's the parts / price breakdown:

$250 - Sonore USB Receiver
$250 for 0.02% tolerance resistor R-2R
$150 SSR03 Super Shunt Regulator. Best possible PS. Built for 12V
$150 2 x Reflektor-D 3.3V PS for the ISO PS, 3.6V for the Sonore.
$25 wire, connectors, IEC, etc.
$150 For custom case
$60 for 2 x transformers
$165 Labor

Selling for:
