Default FS: Red Pill GU50 SE Tube Amp

The amp is sold!

Hi Everyone,

Happy New Year to all forum members!

After 4 months of some blood, tears and mostly sweat, I'm finished with my GM70 SE amplifier project. (so proud & happy )

So now my "little" Red Pill is up for sale.

Brief info:

Final stage: GU50 SE in triode mode
First stage: Philips E80CC Special Quality - stabilized with SG1P-EB
Interstage Coupling Capacitors: ETO1
Custom built output transformers

E80CC only have about 50 hours on the clock, I swapped Tungsram for Philips just recently. I can send you a back up unused pair of GU50's.

The chassis is made of oak wood. Front panel of the power supply is oak wood too. The power supply only works on 220-240v 50hz.

Price: 650 EUR + shipping

For more technical information and additional images, please PM me.

Regards,
Mario

Dady, thank you! The room is actually acoustically horrible. This is my office All walls are plasterboard. Unfortunately my wife isn't OK with me placing those monsters in our living room at home

Yep, the big amp is GE70! The drivers in the downfiring horns are Ether 7.1.12 by Etheraudio.

Your baffles and your amplifiers are DIY?
Thanks for your comments, I am out of thread with my questions but you pics deserve it.

I bought the speakers from Etheraudio, as the build quality and finishing touches were great. However you could build those boxes yourself, if you want. Plans are listed here: Centaur | www.etheraudio.net

I bought the speaker cables and the interconnects from those guys too. The rest is DIY.
