does anyone know where i can get some 2SC3298 and 2SA1306
transistors from, within the Uk?

Try CPC plc (08701 202530). They used to stock them a couple of years ago but have reduced their range recently so the situation may have changed. I take it you have checked RS and Farnell.

Yeah ive checked them already, thats where the most of my stuff is coming from.
This time however im importing from the usa, lol
