Default WANTED: Multimeter

My cheap multimeter seems to have died on me. Does anyone have a spare they could part with for under $50?

Or you can consider the bargain of the sentury and get yourself a Uni-T UT61 series multimeter.

I did a lot of research and I stopped at the UT61D multimeter by Uni Tech.

There are lots of reviews on that multimeter! It is extremelly well built and accurate for the price. It sells for $50-60! It is excellent for electronics and is loaded with features that Fluke charges $400...

The Uni-T UT61 was aimed at the Fluke 61 (2x-3x the price) and guess what Fluke makes the 61 in China! I am not sure about the Fluke 87 but when i looked into it, the cheaper Flukes were more aimed at automotive and house hold electrician use so they felt short for low electronics measurements and accuracy.

Plenty of reviews online and check out this one. There is also an EEV Blog shootout of several meters in that price range ad the Uni-T was really great.

Multimeter Review / buyers guide: Part 1 - UNI-T UT61E - YouTube

the UT61D True RMS version is also listed for $49 on Amazon with Prime!!!! you can also find them on eBay.
UNI-T UT61D True RMS Digital Multimeter - Amazon.com

also the UT61E is the one more reviewed

Good luck!
This is not reality...

Thank you all for your suggestions. I had no idea there were so many options when it comes to multi-meters.
