Default Magnequest MQ-565 PP "ST-70" Transformers

I have one pair of slightly used MQ-565 output transformers for Dyna ST70

7.1k PP to 8 or 16 ohms.

Leads have been cut but may have sufficient length for your application. Excellent sounding upgrade/replacement for the Dyna Z565.

$165 + USPS shipping. Paypal please.

I'm interested, but given the input impedance, aren't these transformers for a ST-35 or push-pull el-84 amp?

Whoops...totally correct! These are the MQ version of the Z565, i.e. ST-35 trans!

Didn't realize I typed ST70 until you pointed it out.

Gotta lay off the hard drugs!

You need to change "ST-70" to ST-35 or EL-84 ASAP. A lot of guys build those amps, and Magnaquest is a desireable TX.

I have used these puppies with VT52's recently ... lovely pinstripped core.

Couldn't change it, but provisionally sold them to Jim even with the typo.

PP VT-52s was precisely my plan for these but I've been real happy with my Peerless PP AB2 6A5gs that Mike built me iron for back in the Sound Practices days.

After unpacking those babies af that were lost in storage limbo for seven years, I got lazy about building another PP because rediscovering forgotten amps is like having new amps and the sound is right where I want to be.

I always got excellent music out of MQ iron, myself.

And it happens that I am writing this from snowy Philly, home of Magnequest and a couple good cheesesteak joints, which sounds like a plan for lunch...a cheesesteak on a seeded roll with sharp provolone and broccoli rabe, not MQ iron.

That sounds like a yummy plan. Been at those two joints, Pat's and Geno's ... I guess you were referring to them.

And got excellent music out of the many many MQ irons I had and still have.
