Smile FS: Omron G6K sealed gold relays mega deal 100 units = $100 (attenuators, switching)

*** Scroll down for photos. I only have 100 units left - sorry I will not break up the bag of 100. It is 300%++ discount compared to Mouser, even at QTY 100! ***

Hi Guys!

I am selling my entire lot of 500 x Omron G6K sealed gold relays. The exact model number is G6K-2G DC5. Here is the datasheet. Even in this quantity of 500, you would pay 250%+ at Mouser/Digikey/etc.

For comparison:
Price for my 500 x units = $499 (wow!) + shipping + paypal fees
500 units at Mouser costs $1340
500 units at Digikey costs $1450

My only reason for selling? I stupidly purchased these before I realized my project was out of budget for me

If you've been doing DIY for awhile, you know that the Omron G6K series are perfect for audio, because they have a very low required load (which means the contacts will last a long time, even when switching tiny loads such as audio). This model is the 5V DC version in an SMD land pattern. This is perfect for people who etch their own PCBs (no drilling required) and of course still great if you order from places such as BatchPCB. Soldering these guys is really easy with a little practice - just use no-clean rosin flux solder (and even extra rosin flux helps) and it is very easy to manage.

I have taken photos. These are the exact lot for sale. I don't have any extras, 500 is the quantity.

Please note: due to the nature of the bulk package, very few of the relays may have *very slightly* bent leads. You most likely wont notice... only with magnification. I don't have shipping tubes, but they will be *very* well padded.

What can you do with this many superb-quality relays? Well, I was going to build the ultimate stepped attenuator - but they are also awesome for input/output signal switching, and general muting, etc.

There are many DIY projects that call for high-quality relays like these.

Please scroll down for tons of photos... but first... YOU MUST AGREE TO THE FOLLOWING BEFORE PURCHASING (sorry for caps, just want to be clear):
  • These are guaranteed 100% original genuine Omron relays / not counterfeit
  • I will ship to USA or Canada. I might be able to make exceptions if you have a good reputation on the forum
  • Item is located in (and will ship from) Canada. Certain Canadian provinces may have to pay sales taxes. T.B.D.
  • Contact me for exact shipping + paypal fees, this can vary on your location (even from state to state)
  • Although unlikely, it is possible that your state (US only) will charge you sales tax for the package (this has never happened for me yet)
  • I will package the item very well - perhaps over-packaged... but better safe than sorry
  • I reserve the right to require some sort of verification before completing a sale (such as a telephone call, etc)
  • Please let me know if anything is unclear or if you have any questions

Finally... get your seat belts on... here are all the photos!!!

This is all-or-nothing... ?

I'd be down for 20 if you'll be splitting these up.

Hey guys (@thefragger + @necplusultra), thanks for your comments. I will send you PMs.

Update: I am willing to let go of each bag individually (100 relays per bag).

1 bags = 100 relays: $110 ($110.00 per bag)
2 bags = 200 relays: $210 ($105.00 per bag)
3 bags = 300 relays: $309 ($103.00 per bag)
4 bags = 400 relays: $404 ($101.00 per bag)
5 bags = 500 relays: $499 ($99.80 per bag)

Keep in mind I only have 5 bags total to sell(!), so if somebody swoops in for 5 bags, it's all over.

Hi @Odysseas... thanks for asking. At the moment I would still to prefer to sell in bags of 100 at a time. This is partially why the price is so low (because I don't have to go to the post office many times).

Cheers!
