Correct. It is the first version since it has an 80 MHz clock. IIRC the only change in the second version was a 100 MHz clock. The clock was upgraded to better support I2S signals with 352.8 kHz sample rates. This version plays sample rates up to 192 kHz fine. I haven't tested anything above that.
Lowball offers will not be considered neither will offers to buy the DAC board only. Please don't bother. I will not entertain these offers.

Willing to sell the DAC, Volumite, SPDIF transformer and TOSLINK module for $280 without IVY III board. This is less than the price of the original Buffalo II DAC board and includes these $60 worth of extras. This is a great price for an excellent kit, just add your power supplies and you are singing.
