I posted in the exotics and Planar section but not a peep from anyone there....
Today a guy walked into my brother in laws secondhand computer store with a pair of BNIB Maggie MG-1's and asked him if he could sell them for him....he said he needed at least $200....my BIL knowing my addiction to all things audio immediately called me and asked me if I wanted them....I bet you know what I said....anyways, I want to give him a fair profit on these and also want to buy them right....eBay is all over the place on prices on these..... What I know....they are new, they are the first models produced, they have not been hooked up as far as he knows, don't know if they work, they appear to be in perfect condition, they are white with light oak trim, 5ohm, stilli in original packing. Anybody here that can give me a idea of what they should be worth? Also, for those of you who are into these...I may sell them here myself eventually. I have more speakers than I can use and the WAF of these is very, very low (in her opinion). My BIL needs to make something on these and he is looking to me to give him a fair profit....I honestly don't know what that may be...appreciate some honest input here. Thanks, Jeff |

A'gon says $360 Average - $450 High, $240 low, and last was $390.
For $250 ($50 profit for BIL) I say go for it... I prefer the MGIIIa over the MGI (who wouldn't) and I have seen some MGIIIa for $350....
