All I found on the web are rolls of several hundred meters. I need about a square meter or two.

Hello ,
Some scale model shops sell mylar which is used to make the fuselage skin for model aeroplanes . Otherwise the ESL information exchange or Innersound may be able to help

If you have a party supply store nearby, they usually sell mylar in small packages.
