This is a pair of 12" subs with Creative Sound Trio 12"s and 15" Passive radiators. $350 each, pickup in Tustin, CA. These are passive and as such would need an amp. They are extremely heavy, and would want a coat of paint- the new birch ply used in their baffles is quite attractive and clean, but the re-purposed cabinet is less so. All joints are solid and square, as you can see in the construction pics, and so it really is as easy as applying a new finish on four sides.
Basically a great way to get into "supersub" territory. I've since gone to a specialized force-cancelling array with 4 isobaric pairs of 12"s (8 12"s total) and as such no longer need these excellent subs. Passive Radiator Subwoofer Systems Article By Jeff Poth
