This is a pair of super warm floor standing speakers by Omega, with 6" Alnico drivers by Omega and have a bottom port for extended bass. These are full-range, crossoverless, efficient and at 93db sensitivity, you can easily drive an awesome combination with lower power amps like SETs. Cabinet dimensions are: 40" H x 10.5" W x 10" D
As is often the case, I had to negotiate with my better half to plop these on the parlor floor of our brownstone. At 40" high, that was no small feat. My wife's condition was to have them painted by a well-known furniture maker and finisher in the North Fork of Long Island. After consulting with Lou from Omega, we went for it, and they do look pretty sweet. These cabinets will be an instant success with any decor. The speakers recently met their match ... our 9-month twin girls. They're not walking yet, but we're preparing the house now, which means saying goodbye to floor standers for the next few years. ![]() These retail for $2,350, but as custom jobs cost me over $2,800. I am asking $1,650. And they're worth every penny according to John Darko of Digital Audio Review who says, "They made me want to listen to my music collection all over again. And with that, this is a hifi product that transcends a star rating. Instead it scores the very first "Dar-KO award". A knockout in all respects." Darko also lists the following highlights for the Super 6 XRS: * Athletic and nimble * Tremendous bass extension * Exquisite midrange * Holographic soundstaging * Can be used in small rooms and close to rear walls * Unfussy about musical genre except for... I didn't mean to come off as perfunctory - good like with the sale and "too polite for rabid Ministry / Metallica fans" could be considered a positive attribute by a lot of folks

No offense taken Chris. Yeah ... I think most of the diy crew will be glad to know that no ministry was played through these Omegas. I think the paint job would fall off!
