Looking to buy an unmodded, perfect condition amp and will pay fair market value without haggling.

The original 5800 was designed by Nelson Pass and uses complementary mosfet outputs biased hot enough to require cooling fans.
The 5802 uses a quasi-complementary output that is all N-channel mosfets. The bias is much less requiring no fans and smaller heatsinks. More watts but more distortion probably.
I suspect that the 5800 runs the first watt in Class A bias but I've never heard it confirmed.
