2SK170 JFET BOZ Preamp in nice Aluminum Case.

Built per the schematic by Nelson. But instead of 25k volume pot, I have a 100k stepped attenuator, and the 10uf cap is a Wima 1.5uf. Preferred the sound of the 1.5uf Wima over any 10uf cap I had...

The "stop" at Max Volume has worn down, and can rotate full turn - there is slight resistance from full volume to min volume...

Overall very clean sound with lots of gain (too much for anything I needed)

Powered by 19 VDC Laptop power supply (included).

How does $140 sound?
