We should rotate the location around.. I am in Markham / Richmond Hill area .. maybe we can see where everybody else is and pick a central location

Toronto for me is best...North York or Eglington West are equally good areas.
But rotation is a great idea, to allow as many as possible to participate over time.

As I said before, I could give someone a lift too if they aren't too far away

Rotation of the meeting places is a good idea. I think we should look for spots that are close to the major highways e.g. 404, 401, 427 etc. to enable fast access.

Hi, Joe

Since you started this, would you do the honour to propose the date, time, and place for the first GTA swap meet?

Regards,

Lo_tse

We should setup a google spreadsheet online. Post who's coming with what parts and the date/ time of the meet.

I can do that now, it will only take a few minutes...

Ok, here it is...anyone can edit the file without signing in.

This is a total tangent.

How repulsive an idea would it be to have the meet in Hamilton to the Toronto folks?

I am only asking because I have limited access to a currently empty not so pretty 700 sq. foot storefront in an older strip plaza that the landlord is looking to rent (kind of my part time job).

If there is enough of a positive response, only thing I would have to check is to see if the hydro is still on and check with the landlord for a couple of hours use and leave the place the same way we found it.

Moving off to a new thread:

Greater Toronto Area DIY meetup

We can have a rotation out to Hamilton in the next get together?
