Hi
I have finally decided to part w/ my Midbass Horns . unfortunately they are just too big for my room . when i asked Jeffrey Jackson for some help to build a Midbass Horn he offered to provide his calculations of the Exhilaration III for a small fee. i spent all summer building them and they turned out great . they are very big and massive , all Horn Walls are 1.5" thick Birch Ply . Finished with some clear Lacquer . i used cardas speaker connectors . they are designed for 15" drivers and i had good results w/ GPA Altec 515G drivers which i also consider selling . freq. response is usable from 60-500hz . dimensions are 25x32 mouth opening . length from throat to mouth is 45" , back chamber is 19x19 and 12" deep. so total length is 57" . these Horns are awesome. as expected , they have the punch only mid bass horns have , efficiency is better then 100db , they are very fast and dynamic , and there are no mid bass Horns commercially available . so if you always wanted to try a pair and don't feel like spending all your summer building ( summers in WI are short ) , this is your chance . these horns are big and heavy and i would prefer if someone could pick them up . i am located in wisconsin . i do consider shipping them but that would probably be very expensive . i could strap the horns to two pallets if you can arrange a shipper or try to find a shipping company if you are seriously committed . shipping weight is approx. 120# for one horn without packing driver and pallet . asking price is $1999 plus shipping as always paypal adds fees , usps MO is preferred. if you pick up its cash . some information here: hifi heroin: Search results for Exhilaration i have more things for sale : a pair of 350hz spherical horns , a pair of 350hz conical horns , and some compression drivers . see my other ads . I would love to hear these one day. To bad they are way out of my price range. Good luck with the sale.
