High power Class A JLH For ESL Amp
I finally finished this amp a few months ago, and really like it on my Martin Logans CLS, but slightly prefer my Krell KSA -50 Clone and Aleph 5. This amp is very clean sounding with great detail. Its based on the Geoff Moss design, and built with PCB laid out by him. It was based on the design here (high power for ESL circuit):
The Class-A Amplifier Site - JLH Class-A Update
Looks to be around 45 wpc, biased to 2.25A with +/-27VDC rails, and instead of the 2SC5200, I used the Faichild equivalent FJL4315 output devices. I also have the output devices on euro connectors, so you can try other output devices. Trany is a Antek AN-4222 (400VA, dual 22V sec), 3 x 18,000uf/rail with paralleled R43 in between the caps.
I put a switch on the back to take the Auricap input cap in/out of the circuit if you have a DC blocking caps on your preamp.
The Class A Dunn Mei Chassis dissipates all the heat perfectly, and is the same as the ones being offered from V4TC.com, currently selling for $245+ shipping.
I have to clear off some finished projects to dive into the next project.
Asking $500. I can ship but may be pricey since quite heavy.
