I'm changing directions with my solid-state system, so up for sale is my OCM 500 power amplifier. It was designed by David Belles and built in conjunction with Magnum Dynalab under the name OCM. It works perfectly and sounds amazing; by far the best SS amp I've heard in my system. It has a very laid back yet detailed sound and is capable of controlling the toughest of speaker loads with ease. Not bright in any sense and definitely non-fatiguing, when compared to my old McIntosh MC2105. I really hate making this comparison but, I've never heard a SS amp sound so tube like, especially in this price range. It was a reference amp at The Inner Ear magazine for many years.
Features: - Stereophile "Class B" rated (Dec. '96 issue) - Class AB - 200 wpc into 8 ohms using MOS-FET output transistors - bridgeable mono via XLR input to 800 W into 8 ohms! - WBT binding posts and RCA connectors - true differential balanced design (similar to Krell) - very high slew rate - high current - massive toroidial transformer - highest quality parts used internally Comes with stock detachable power cord and I'm waiting for the owner's manual/schematic to show up any day now. I'm asking $850 if you pick it up locally and $950 shipped anywhere CONUS. I have the original box, but no foam...although I will pack for a meteor blast if you want me to ship it. This thing is 50 lbs unpacked and will need some serious packing material, which is included in the "shipped" price, so remember that if you're interested. Also, I'm open to trades, so let me know if you have something to barter. **I have perfect eBay feedback as 'emeraldshaman' and great feedback over at AudioKarma.com as 'Sonance'84'** ---> more photos: http://s126.photobucket.com/albums/p...ier/?start=all ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Thanks for looking! Cory
