These are Neo R8 drivers in cast enclosures. I purchased them for a high end bookshelf speaker project that didn't work out.
$230 for the pair + shipping. I would also trade them for a pair of pro-audio woofers 12" or 15" suitable for mid bass subs. (Something like the Definimax 4012s, or Kappa 15 LF2) If anyone purchases these and my TD6Hs I will throw in a pair of Parts-Express cabinets TW-0.38BK Last edited by Reinyn; 29th January 2012 at 07:06 PM. |

Two questions, why the glued on grill over the element, I thought these came without grills? And two, aren't these non production units, like the ones for sale at Newform for $230/pr? I'm just wondering if these were a one off or if you had them made?
In case anyone is interested in knowing this gent is now offering free shipping on a 24lb pair of ribbons! Just so you know.... Can't possibly ship those to Canada so I'm assuming this is valid only on the Con/US.

I believe these are the same cast units that are on the website. Shipping was a significant expense so $225 shipped is a pretty good deal :-) Anyway I never used them beyond making sure that they worked. As far as the element cover that is how I received them from Newform.
I could probably get these shipped to Canada. If you were interested. |
