Default Components for a GM70 SET

Up for sale are a lot of components I collected throughout the years to build a big SET amplifier. Plans changed: we are moving to Mozambique and this stuff can’t come along so it has to go.

Output transformer by Sowter, type 8046
Some information in the archives of Sowter:
SOWTWE TRANSFORMERS ARCHIVE
SE, 10k (230RDC) on primary, 4 secondary windings (for 1, 4, 8 and 16ohms), 50W, 125mA, P size.

A pair of new Sowter P size transformers costs 550 pounds (VAT included). These were used shortly in an experimental setup.

Power transformers.
Industrial model, German made. Do allow for different secondary voltages: my aim was to eventually reach the maximum of 550VAC fed into a power doubler with dampers, as shown by Thomas Maier.
VinylSavor: Making of a 211 Amplifier, Part 1: Planning

Capacitors:
A large collection, probably too much for one amplifier. All used:
- 5x MKV B25834 by Siemens. 15µF at Ueff 1000V, Un 1400V.
- 4x Bosch MP. 10µF at 2/3kV(thought these would be nice for the doubler)
- 2x Sangamo, 10µF at 1kV
- 2x 88µF at 1,2kV. Quite heavy!
- 3 smaller ones… all rated at 1kV.
- Free Variac

16 pieces of GM70 graphite plate.
Bought a large stash of these a couple of years ago thinking that the prices would raise after these became better known in commercial amplifiers, but the prices kept stable at e-bay. Tested most of them at around 500V and they were good

I am thinking about 680 euros for the lot (280 for the OPT’s, 70 for the power transformers, 50 for all the caps, 280 for the 16 pieces of the GM70), or is that too much?

many thanks for looking!

I received a couple of requests to sell items separately from people all over the world. For practical reasons I would prefer not to split this lot, and have someone pick up everyhting at my place in Eindhoven, but maybe that is asking to much?

I think I will wait a couple of days to see if someone interested in the whole lot appears, and if not I will contact all people who PM'ed me regarding selling the components individually.

I hope you can understand this decision.

If this is still for sale, I am not able to buy everything in one go but I am interested in all the capacitors. Shoot me a PM if you're interested or not.
