FS: SB3 + Vortexbox, Los Angeles, $250 + shipping!

Have an MSI Wind 330 nettop I bought to use as a file server, print server, and Squeezebox server. Later discovered Vortexbox and saw that it uses the same computer, but with specialized software to make it specifically wonderful as a music server.

Nettop currently has Ubuntu 64 bit, 2GB of RAM, a DVD-RW, 320 GB HDD, and works great! Can easily install the Vortexbox software/operating system if desired for the user.

Also have a really nice linear power supply that just needs the SB3 connector soldered to it. The Squeezebox 3 included with this is NOT the wireless model, unfortunately. A poor decision on my part (when I bought it new)!

Only selling as I found an even LOWER power solution - a Synology NAS which uses 5/12 watts depending on if asleep/active. Although the NAS has 1/10 the RAM and much less than half the CPU of the dual-core Atom powered nettop.

And I upgraded from a Squeezebox 3 to the Squeezebox Duet (wish I got the Touch though, oh well) - although most of that upgrade is convenience, not sound quality. As a transport into a DAC, they're both great.
