HP 8050A and related equipment for sale - Information

Guys,

I am downsizing my Radio & TV consulting business and have a lot of test gear available. You may be interested in the following items.

(1) Hewlett Packard Type 8050-A Third Octave Real Time Audio Analyzer
- Altec Lansing Acoustavoice type - Works but needs some voltage regulator work, CRT dispaly vertical drive is not stable, may just be vertical control noise.

(2) GR Random Noise Generator - Type 1382 - 20 to 50kHz - White/Pink/USASI noise - 300 ohm - Good condition.

(3) Pink Noise test and alignment tapes - Reel to reel, Cassette, Broadcast Cart

I most likely have the manuals on 1&2, but will have to dig for them. I am very familiar with the 8050A and its use. I got introduced to it by Don Davis at Syn-Aud-Con in 1977. If you have questions I may be able to help.

Regarding your quest for a new CRT, the exact replacement may be impossible to find. I agree that you should be able to use an external monitor. You may be able to find some markings on the tube in the unit and then try to match it up with a replacement instrumentation CRT.
