Linkwitz Orion+ Construction Kit and drivers:-

4x Tweeters - Seas T25CF002
2x Woofers - Seas W22EX001
4x Subwoofers - Peerless XLS 830452

ORION Construction Kit consisting of:
- Project Documentation
- ASP printed circuit boards for crossover/equalizer (2)
- Test signal CD
- Full set of components for the ASP (less case and power supply) but including the components for 3.1 and 3.2 versions.

All new and unused.

Selling for AU$2200
Yes, a saving of more than $600 !

The price includes shipping to anywhere in Australia.

Just costed out what all the items would cost to buy today and it comes to just over AU$3000.

Am still offering the whole lot for AU$2200 incl shipping in Australia.

Do you know on that score I think you're right!

This could be for all manner of reasons.
This could include not having the time to build them himself, simply needing the money or moving to premises that are too small to support Orion properly. Maybe that old enemy of common sense WAF (the trick is never to ask the question).

lots of people buy kits that never get built. If I had space for Orion I would have built them already, no question.

I would guess this is fine for the average American lounge. That is if you can get away with using the lounge.

Read this page. You may want to build Pluto (a speaker designed for smaller spaces):

Two things factor into the required listening distance. The dipole wave launch and three way driver integration.
Three ways are typically better listened to from a greater distance than two way designs. The benefits of three way are questionable when you listen in a smaller environment where very large bass excursions are usually not required.
