WTB: preamplifier for Pass Labs XA30.5

Looking for a preamplifier to be a good match for Pass Labs XA30.5 amp.
Anyone willing to part with one :-). Kit also is fine.

DCB1 is dc coupled as my whole audio chain. That's what worries me a bit. I'm not sure about my latest hunt XA30.5.

UGS for sure got my interest. Simple circuit, but it would be lovely to put my hands on some boards :-)

I'm using a XA30.5 with a DCB1 and a Buffallo II with Legato 3 (No caps), and I have only a few millivolts at XA output (5mV). The DCB1 is a crystal clear preamplifier.

What speakers do you use?
I used to have Buffalo/Legato setup but let it go. Being older I tend towards less analytical and more "romantic" sound.
I got XA only recently and even thought about tube preamp. However knowing Pass designs you just can't go wrong.

I'm using my own loudspeakers, but sometimes I use the set with a Quad ESL2805



The combination of XA30.5, DCB1 and Buffalo/Legato offering one of the most analytical systems, but at the same time is one of the most musical.

What's the thingy across the driver ?

Is for correct the off-axis dispersion (above the crossover point). The cone is big (12") and need some correction.
