In a few weeks, I will have some new kits together.
I am going to switch the resistors from PRP to Dale, after some requests for CMF55 resistors. This will lower the price ~5 dollars. It requires less shipping costs from vendors, and more reliable stock of all values.

OK, so it's a cosmetic thing, but I realize this is important to a lot of people. (myself included)


Here is the rundown.
75 dollars for the kit,
15 for board
6 dollars domestic and 10 dollars international first class shipping.
The kit is not the whole deal - no chassis, wires , transformers, and anything that is not listed. It is all the parts that populated the board.

Here is the rundown of parts - I have not used PRP resistors for this GB. I was getting some demand to use 'the standard' Dale/Vishay CMF55. So I am using those.
I have also lowered the cost of shipping by using some larger padded envelopes. So NET 10 savings.

Wow, I just discovered you are selling these kits. I'm in for one when they're available again.

Aside from aesthetics, do the PRP sound better than the Dale in this application? I'm all for getting the best sounding B1 and will be bummed if I'm losing something going from PRP to Dale.

PRPs are as good in my book. I use them both in different builds. I'd be surprised if you could tell the difference between the two... TX-2575, TF-020, etc... are a different story though.

You can always swap out later.

Although I feel the DCB1 is very transparent to the resistors being used in the signal path. The Dale's and PRP are both very good. You could swap for PRP at a later date.


Of course the TX2575's are excellent, and the 220Rs I would swap out for those and probably not anything else, and be very impressed.
