Greetings,
A charity called Audio Reader, run by the University of Kansas is having its annual sale September 16 & 17. They provide a variety of services for the blind. People donate used, but working, audio-related equipment, Audio Reader sells them, and the proceeds go to their charity work Their web site is here: http://reader.ku.edu/ Web page about the charity sale is here: For Your EARS Only They only want working equipment. This is not a place to unload your junk box. Enclosed is the PDF explaining exactly what they do and do not want. If you want to donate something, send it to this address: Donate Audio Items That's Lawrence, KS 66049. If you want to attend, expect a lot of LPs which go quickly, and cheap, old portable stereos and speakers. I did, however, score 4 unused Vifa P17WJ's for $8.00 each. It's probably not worth driving a long distance for. I'm not associated with the charity. I'm just passing the info along. |
