I bought a used version 6 UcD400 ST and bought a version 8 from Hypex. Sadly, Hypex upped the power requirements so my (max 58V) power supplies won't work with the newer version.
![]() Does anyone have a lower voltage version they'd be willing to exchange (new for old!). It hasn't even been powered up (I don't have the power... Captain). I'm in the UK, but will trade with anywhere. |

Why wouldn't it work just fine? 58 V is just perfect.

I only wish I knew! My version 6 powers up fine, but I tried the version 8 with 58V and the LED refuses to light up. I sent it back to Hypex believing it to be faulty, but their tests proved otherwise.
Frank Veldman at Hypex told me it needs 65V at least. ![]() I'm glad I'm not the only person who's confused. |

Somebody is confused. The manual AND web page clearly states that 58 V would be fine and in fact 65 VDC would be the absolute highest recommended.
ELECTRICAL FEATURES: - Power supply voltage: +/- 45-65V - Unit shuts down when either rail exceeds 68V - Power rating: 400Wrms @ 4ohm

You're not the one being confused for sure. That doesn't solve your problem of the unit not powering up but at least you're good to go troubleshooting with your existing module. Check your muting setup...

I do think Hypex could make it a bit more clear. |
