FS - Simpson 555 tube tester.
Working with back-lit meter and working locking case with handle. USA made and designed, very cool bakelite top. This tube tester has the roll chart so you can scroll and find the parameters for measuring your tube. I am told by previous owner that this is an early tester so it will not test 6550s, 6CA7s, etc. It will test many of the 4 pin triode tubes. It tests hundreds and hundreds of tubes. It will test the 2A3, 45, 6V6, 6L6, 5V4, 5U4, 6SN7, 6SL7, 12ax7, 12au7, 12at7, etc. I tested a few different types of tubes and it worked well. It has line adjustment, tests for quality, shorts, and leakage. Simpson is known for its high quality analog multi-meters. This unit brings the same quality to a tube tester. I recently purchased this to test some tubes in a noisy amp so that I could roll different tubes thru the amp. A friend has a tube tester as well, so I no longer need this one. Email for pictures. $95 obo. Thanks. |
