MPC 74 precision measured at 100 mA
£1 each

Quite a few matched values whit in 0.001 Homs or beter

IMO not sure why one may need this precision as a smaller value resistor would compensate for a lazier mosfet

But there you have it.

10 % donation to DIY audio aplies

P&P to USA £7.8 with parcell traking

Futaba MPC 74 0.47R

For sale at £1

I have started to measure up a batch of Futabas.
I am using 10V and LM317 as 100.00 mA constant current source.

IMO handy to know which resistor to use as source resistor, a lower value may help a lazier Mosfet.

But then if you want them matched just pick what you want

At first I was using Dip sockets but contact was not reliable and adding about 0.006 Homs to the test.

I got much beter and repeatable measurement with a different socket so I will try to improve on that and start again

In the mean time I have reliable results up to 0.000 Homs repeatable to 0.0000
And the meter is capable to go down to 0.00000

I have a first batch of Futabas ready

Pick your values from table

First came first served

Reserved 10 to be picked

£1 each + P&P

Unfortunately yours truly wrote down the values with permanent marker and first round of measurement was out by about 0.008 Homs (Poor contact on Dill socket adding to test results)
I could not get rid of the marker so values are crossed over.
I am really sorry about that.
I remember now somebody mentioning the use of sticky labels (Papa matching mosfets article)

Hi mate course you can

I will go to the post office ASAPand get P&P(another 60 hours nights at work)

Do You mean NTC thermistors as in post 1?
If so I only have 4 spares You can have tose for same price I paid from Farnell (will need to dig that up)

Just to clarify
the holcos are al 2W 15ppm 1% and body is 18mm long

Will it fit?

Why not use 3 150 Homs in parralell that gives 6 W totall
(not triing to sell a few more is what I am using and from Ed Simon Article on Linear Audio Vol 1 it apears to be a wise thing to do and Papa specify 3W on SCH)

no problem with timing, no rush, i'm just grabbing them for good price and will use where appropriate, first up probably for some high current floating regulators on perf for circlotron prototyping. i'll have a think about it and maybe i'l get some 150r too, but they are less important to me than the other values. the size doesnt matter. i dont know that i would trust anything higher than 3w on them, even in parallel though

dont worry about the NTC if thats where you got them, i can get from Farnell/element14 with free overnight shipping here in oz, but i would never buy anything from them unless i didnt have a choice. the prices they charge are insulting, sometimes up to 10x as much as digikey or mouser, not always that much, but its always significantly more (usually about 2x, with 3x not unusual), i only ever use them in emergencies when i absolutely need a couple of things for work ive forgotten, or run out of and need it quick

Okay dokey
Quite right about Farnell price

Hi current regs?
Just got the thing...
Which takes me to next post.

Matched FQA12P20
I have made a new regulated supply for my matching.
Have a look at Lt3083 is capable of 3 an easy to parallel and has les noise drift and heat than the LM317.
Quick try yesterday see pictures as follows.

V in steady at 23.997 V current 3.184 A VGS 5.84 temperature 52 C

Close up of readings.
New regulator board capable of 6 a heat sink just slightly warm probably not needed.

PCB bottom

Just let me know if need to know more but noting special just straight circuit from Data sheet.

So I am off in the loft to measure up the VGS on a batch of FQA12P20

This will be done at 24V 2A and 50 C
Once ready I will post table with results and then take your pick.

I absolutely love the linear tech stuff and the datasheets are excellent, just totally stuffed a multiple dac regulator board with lt3032, lt1764A, LT1763 and LTC2935. so yes the LT3083 is on my samples list, but i will probably end up with the LT1764A, as i know it well and its transient response is superb; its also capable of 3A. I'm planning on trying LT3092 for current source in the same project, along with the LT1575 which controls an external low Rdson fet for up to 10A output.

so yep back on topic, I will confirm whether i'll get any 150r from you tomorrow, maybe just a few, need to comb some boms to see
