Default WTB: Tang Band 6" subs. Need 2. Might also consider of similar calibar

Specifically, the W6-1139SI. Need a pair of them. Prefer very lightly used or new. NO major hurry. Only other one that I think is close is the JL but there might be other 6" subs out there that I do not know about.

These sound just as good as JL, if not better. I have the 8" version and it is amazing. I have had JL W0 and W3 in the past, and I prefer Elemental Designs for performance, price and SQ. 28hz Fs and 13mm Xmax from a 6!

Elemental Designs: Car Stereo, Home Speakers, Electronics

Also, Exodus Anarchy. I like the ED better for a sub though, one way Xmax is about the same.

here is a video of the ED sub I have, it only has 1 more mm of Xmax compared to the 6" version. It will let you get an idea of what the 6 can do.

Wow, thanks for posting. I think I would expand my search to to TB ED or EA. Since I am pretty limiting in this vehicle using the OE chambers, I really need that long stroke to get the air moving better.

I really thought the JL W7 was the king of subs but it certainly looks there are some other lines out there since the last time I played the game. Now I just need to upgrade my Velodyne HGS18s with long throw drivers like this, OMG!! My home subs use an accelerometer so I would have to find out which they are using and would have to open the motor up to mount the sensor but could work....

Just for giggles, here is ED's answer to the W7: Elemental Designs: Car Stereo, Home Speakers, Electronics

It gets 95% as loud, but sounds better than a W7.

it gets interesting around 6:00

Parts-express.com had those TBs on sale last week, $20.00 or so off their normal price. If nothing else mentioned here fills the bill, perhaps look to p-e.com later in the month to see if they've repeated the price for the holidays/new year. Best luck..
